Life is like a balloon. If you don’t hold onto it, it will float away, and boy has Steve lived a life.
After being born in England and raised in South Africa, Steve at the age of 18 returned to his roots in Dublin before calling Australia home. And prior to looking after the Eight office, Steve was a professional rugby player in his past life, which we’re thankful for because he knows how to make a good game plan.
Although Steve can speak 4 languages, he still hasn’t figured out how to say no. This is obvious once you learn that he attends almost every community event hosted in Newcastle and his involvement in the rugby scene cannot be matched. But he says he wouldn’t have it any other way.
Away from the footy field, Steve is the coach in the office and is the best role model for how far guts and determination will get you. This paired with 7 years working in the mining and construction industry has allowed him to realise how important it is to have a quality backline. And although the front line was Steve's specialty, he does a great job of looking after ours.
Eight’s backline is made up of our resources and operations. Both of which Steve looks after. For any questions about either, or tips on how to play front row, give him a call.
